Hi Everyone! The day has come share my two new pro Hi Everyone! The day has come share my two new projects. Here is the story behind them. I tried to keep it short, but I’ve realized now this is the only way I know how to tell it. If you are interested, give it a read 😊...

My journey started on a farm in the northern woods of Alberta, Canada. A band of trees huddled around our little farm house, what my sister and I would like to call ‘the forest’. This ‘forest’ was more like a small bundle of trees a km long, but to us at the time, it was so much more than that, it felt like our whole world. With the great outdoors right at our door step and a barnyard full of animals, there was lots to see and do, with never a dull moment to be found. Like all farm life, there was always a long list of chores, there were only things that must be done now and things that could be done later. On the days we needed a break from the daily grind, we’d get up before sunrise, pack a lunch, fold a change of clothes into a brown paper bag and tip toe our way to the back window to sneak out. Once our feet hit the ground, we’d high tail it to the trees to run wild for the day. We spent a lot of time in those woods. Rain or shine, that’s where you would find us. It was a life full of imagination, fun and adventure. 
 
A few years later, we ended up moving from the farm and into town. At first, I was resistant to this change, it felt like I’d been plucked from my farm girl life and dropped into a whole new existence. It was all for the best, but I had a hard time accepting that some things just weren’t meant to last forever. By moving into this new chapter, I was becoming more aware of a world I wasn’t sure I liked. Seeing the way people, animals, and nature were being treated bothered me, it made my heart ache and I felt alone in my pain. No one understood me and I didn’t understand myself, so I became an angry kid, rebelling against all types of authority which got me in a lot of trouble. In nature, is where I’d go to find my respite, my peace. I would sit amongst the trees and as I took it all in, a desire would come over me to one day make some kind of positive impact on the world. I just had no idea how...
Spring is on the way and it feels like someone jus Spring is on the way and it feels like someone just pressed the fast forward button on my life. Two yoga teacher trainings, classes starting back up today, and a couple new projects launching in two weeks. Gonna need an adventure somewhere once this month wraps up. Even though it’s full speed ahead, I’m still making self care a priority and fitting it in when and where I can. I hope you do too! Have a great week everyone!! 🙏

This past year I’ve taken a step back. It wasn’t something I initially wanted to do. I didn’t really feel like I had a choice in the matter. It made me slow down and take some time to reflect on my life and how I was living it. 
 
There’s all this new agey talk about how we need to live in the now. From what I see, that’s impossible. Our histories will always be a part of who we are. Everything we do in the present is conditioned by our life story. I mean, there, for sure, is value in aiming to see the world afresh in each new moment, but that’s not all of it. 
 
A question I’ve asked myself – How is your past informing your present? And what I’ve realized is that if it’s not giving you what you need now, how can you reframe it in a way that works for you? In a way that gives you more love, joy and freedom in the present and into the future?
 
What I’ve discovered is that the time I had to slow down and reflect this past year was actually a gift. By looking at my past, I started to see this golden thread being weaved through all the stories I have lived, all the challenges, lessons, and the wisdom I’ve gained from them. It gave me insight on what I truly value, how I want to be living my life, and what I need to create for my business. 
 
Now that I have clarity, this year there will be some big changes, both personally and professionally. It’s time to let some things go and make some moves. So, I have a couple new + exciting projects that I will be announcing in the next few weeks. These projects are much more aligned to who I am now, what I want to be offering and why I even chose the name, Wild + Free Collective, to begin with. Stay tuned Friends! More to come! ❤️🙏

Turn away from watching the old world burn and ins Turn away from watching the old world burn and instead: 
 
Focus on what’s working, instead of what’s not working.
 
Recognize what you’re finding, not what you’re losing.
 
Notice what is opening up when so much is closing down.
 
Know what and who holds life, hope, soul, healing and teaching and what and who is deadening and extinguishes the light.
 
Just do the next right thing that is yours to do where you are, then the next and repeat…
 
Trust that your newly expanded high heart is also your GPS, that insights are available to you at all times when you drop the need for them to have bells, whistles and drama.
 
Ask yourself: “When I find that place inside myself that is already thriving, what will get created? 
 
This is a choice point – a permanent time-line split – where how you do change is just as important as the change itself. You have to see what needs changing and then you have to start showing up by being the person who will create the new.
 
No more magic thinking… Speak your truth. Act on it. No matter what. The more honest you are the more magical you get 💫

When it comes to taking care of my mental health, When it comes to taking care of my mental health, what has made the biggest impact is a consistent meditation/yoga nidra practice. This has been a stressful year for a lot of people and that stress has done a number on our nervous systems, activating our sympathetic (fight/flight) nervous system more often than we’d like. 

Do yourself a favor this week and take care of your parasympathetic (rest/digest) nervous system by spending a few moments in meditation. Taking this time out for yourself will help give you the energy + clarity you need to keep moving forward.
